A Wedding in St. Lucia was started by a husband and wife team, Ray & Kari, who themselves were married on a beach here in St. Lucia in 1999.

Having worked for over 18 years in the U.K in event management and planning, including many, many weddings, the first in 1987, we found that similar services offered here in St. Lucia were lacking in that special personal attention and in most cases, simple honesty! In addition to that, prices were often overly-inflated and the individual and unique attention that your day deserves, often seemed sadly absent. With the success of our wedding photography at Karay Media, gaining us credibility and respect, we decided to expand.

In October 2005, we set up Tropic Isle Weddings to provide clients with a higher quality, yet more affordable option for their tailor-made wedding, compared to other "independent" wedding planners based here in St. Lucia. We don't feel that a premium wedding planning service should come at a premium price. We have remained truly independent, with no financial affiliations with any hotels or businesses. So you can be sure of our integrity and that are recommendations are purely in your interest.

Following on from this success, and at the request of many clients, we now offer a purely package option here at A Wedding in St. Lucia. Of course, we still appreciate that many clients have differing requirements and we are happy to customize any of our packages to suit individual needs. We continually look to broaden the service we can offer all our clients.

In December 2005, we added a new member to our team and would like to welcome Natasha who herself studied Event Management at New York ESE University College.

Thank you so much for rescuing us from what would have been a huge Sandal’s “free wedding” nightmare!!! You handled everything from the legal paperwork to the flowers, cake, my hair appointment, the taxi rides, and I’m sure there is more I can’t think of! It was truly a great experience and you made it so easy for us to have it the way we wanted.
We love our wedding DVD also. Chris did such a great job putting that together. Everyone is so impressed with that also and we love to watch it. I love how he edited it, did some slow motion, and put in our choice of music. It all came together perfectly and we got just what we wanted! We have a lot of friends and family that are either a little jealous of our experience or they want to get married over there now!
I would not change a thing about our wedding there and am sooooooo glad we did it. I would recommend you to anyone planning to go to St Lucia to get married or to even renew their wedding vows. We were just so impressed with your services and would want anyone going there to have the same experience that we did. You are such nice people that truly enjoy what you do and that is what makes the difference.
